Talk, Dress, Sing, Eat and LEARN Like a Pirate!

Ahoy, Edu-mateys! September 19th is Talk Like a Pirate Day, so wouldn’t it be fun to feast like a pirate too (yikes, don’t forget napkins!)? With a watermelon pirate ship and pizza-turned-treasure map, you can bet Betty Crocker‘s easy, kid-approved menu will please every pirate it meets.

Pirate Cake

Yo, ho, ho and a pirate eye patch! This striped cake is really fun to make and made easy with help from Betty Crocker cake mix, ready-made frosting and Fruit by the Foot. The how-to video takes you through each step while Betty’s cake template shows you exactly where to cut.

Treasure Map Pizza

X marks the spot on our simple but delicious pizza made with Pillsbury Artisan Pizza Crust, store-bought pizza sauce (or if you’re hankerin’ to cook — a homemade one!) and shredded mozzarella cheese. To decorate, add a trail of sliced black olives, make trees with green peppers and pretzel sticks, and finish with a tiny red pepper pirate ship.

Check out MORE pirate-approved recipes on the Betty Crocker website.
