Truthfully, every time I try to discipline my children I feel as if I am walking a tightrope! When I get it right, my discipline serves a beautiful purpose. It helps my children to grow and to develop into more rounded and confident individuals. When I get it wrong, my heart breaks and I feel immense guilt at the possible damage I may have caused my child. In reality, disciplining our children doesn’t need to be complicated. It is just one technique, of many, that can help our children be their best. Through my own personal experience with childhood discipline, I have come to the conclusion that keeping a few tried and true methods stashed away in a personal parent handbook can often make all the difference.
