Which celebrities are good parents? One celeb gossip-loving blogger makes a list of her favorites.
I don’t know about you, but my friends and I all have a favorite actor, singer, or reality star that we love to keep tabs on – and many of our favorite celebs are also parents! Being a parent while living in the limelight can be a tough job – but here are a few celebrities who I think make the cut as AWESOME parents.
Jessica Alba initially gained fame as a model and actress in blockbuster movies such as The Fantastic Four and Into the Blue. In 2012, she founded the Honest Company, a family-focused company that provides safe, non-toxic and eco-friendly products for children. Not only is Alba a businesswoman at the head of the now billion-dollar Honest Company, Alba is also mother to her two daughters, Honor and Haven.
“When I became a mom, I finally became the person I am, that I always should have been,” she says on her website. “It’s the most satisfying job in the world. But, it can also be overwhelming and confusing. I created The Honest Company to help moms and to give all children a better, safer start.” That’s a cause that all moms can get down with.
Reese Witherspoon has starred in a long list of popular movies – such as Legally Blonde, Sweet Home Alabama, and most recently, Wild.
Witherspoon, now mother of 3, recently commented on being a working mom, “There are some sacrifices you make, and it hurts your heart sometimes, but my kids tell me they’re proud of what I’ve accomplished, and that just means everything,” she says in the interview. “I grew up with a working mom, and I have so much respect for the things she did…”
Fun Fact: Jessica Alba & Reese Witherspoon are besties – cool mom group!
Sarah Jessica Parker & Matthew Broderick
Actors Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick have spent over 25 years in Hollywood – writing, producing and starring countless hit movies and television shows. They now say that being parents is their most important role.
Despite being in the public eye, Parker and Broderick have tried to maintain a private life for their son James, and twin daughters Marion and Tabitha. Broderick recently spoke about the difficulty of keeping their profession in the spotlight from affecting their kids, “I’m pretty good with the kids, I think. I haven’t told them about this [current] show. James … he’s so smart and reads everything. I’m sure there’s nothing for me to tell him.”
John Legend & Chrissy Teigen
I’m not sure what’s more wonderful, John Legend’s song “All of Me,” or scrolling through photos of him adoring his daughter. “I sing and dance to her all the time…she calms down when I sing to her and dance with her,” Legend said in a recent interview. What a wonderful daddy!

Legend is married to model and TV personality, Chrissy Teigen, and admits that there are challenges when it comes to raising children. “You just try to raise kind, smart, worldly kids that, you know turn out to be good human beings. All you can do is try and set an example… and then hopefully teach them the right thing.”
Okay, okay, so we know Britney Spears has gone through a rough few years. (We’ve all seen the Britney circa 2007 memes!) However, Britney has always been a devoted mother to her two boys, Sean and Jayden, despite a full-time residency in Las Vegas.

She hopes that her boys have normal childhood and remarked in recent article, “I think the magnitude of it and the fame thing, I don’t think they’ve really comprehended what that would even be like. Hopefully they never will, because it’s kind of [too] much.”
Celebrities may have fame and fortune- but that doesn’t mean parenting is any easier. We take our hats off to the celebs who are able to balance it all!
